I can’t help noticing that when you talk about the Hebrew religion, you go out of your way to point out how possible, even likely, it is that there’s a lot of historical fact in those tales, but when you talk about other beliefs – like those of the Chavin, you go out of your way to drive home the implication that the priests were using drugs and other methods to “trick” the participants. You are not doing a very good job at all of being “historically unbiased.”

I think if China had sent an army across the Pacific that had influenced the Chavin cultures would have been accompanied by clear DNA signals. We don’t see those signals, so… no.
Regarding the San Pedro cactus juice (mescaline), how do you know it’s not an authentic spiritual experience? I’d say that if you haven’t tried it you particularly don’t know.
