This is an awesome podcast. My one complaint about it is that in the Levant related bits you lean a little harder into the historicity of the Bible that I’m comfortable with. I agree with you that there is some accurate historical information in the Bible, but the only way we can really know that is to see it supported by more “academic” sources. And finding that bits A, B, and C are true does NOT mean in any way that bits D and E are – you just can’t make that extrapolation when the author of your document has such a vested interest other than academic accuracy in what he’s writing. It even felt to me like you were presenting the battle between David and Goliath as history – you didn’t come right out and say it was, but you didn’t give it the usual accepted “mythic caveats” either.
So, that’s my only issue. Overall this is just wonderful, WONDERFUL information. And if you’re just “that enthusiastic about your faith,” I’m not going to hold that against you.
